Terms of Service
Welcome to FBC Athletics. By using our website, registering for programs, or participating in our activities, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.
If you have any questions about these Terms, contact us at coachphil@fbcathletics.com.
1. About FBC Athletics
2. Registration and Eligibility
To register a child for FBC Athletics programs, you must be a parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult. By registering, you confirm that:
- All information you provide is accurate and complete
- You have the authority to register the child and agree to these Terms on their behalf
- The child meets the age and grade requirements for the selected program
We reserve the right to verify information and cancel registrations that do not meet our requirements.
3. Program Fees and Payment
All program fees are listed on our website and during registration. By registering, you agree to pay the full program fee unless you qualify for financial assistance or a payment plan.
Payment is due at the time of registration unless another arrangement has been confirmed in writing by FBC Athletics. We offer:
- Pay in full (may include a small discount)
- Payment plans (installment payments over 2–3 months)
- Financial assistance (application required, approved on a case-by-case basis)
If you choose a payment plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on the agreed schedule. If a payment fails, we will contact you to resolve it. Continued non-payment may result in your child being unable to participate until the balance is paid.
We use third-party payment processors to handle payments securely. You are responsible for any fees charged by your bank or card issuer.
4. Refunds and Cancellations
All program fees are non-refundable after your child attends their first practice or game, except in the following cases:
- If FBC Athletics cancels the program or your child’s team
- If your child has a serious injury or medical condition that prevents participation (doctor’s note required)
- If you cancel before the first practice, we may offer a full or partial refund depending on timing
- If you withdraw your child mid-season for other reasons, we may offer a prorated credit for future seasons but cannot guarantee a refund.
Weather-related cancellations are made up when possible. We do not issue refunds for individual games or practices cancelled due to weather.
5. Code of Conduct
All players, parents, guardians, and family members are expected to follow the FBC Athletics Code of Conduct. This includes:
- Treating coaches, staff, referees, other players, and families with respect
- Supporting positive sportsmanship and teamwork
- Avoiding abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior or language
- Following facility rules and instructions from coaches and staff
Failure to follow the Code of Conduct may result in a warning, suspension, or removal from the program without refund. Serious or repeated violations may result in a permanent ban from FBC Athletics.
6. Health, Safety, and Assumption of Risk
Youth basketball involves physical activity and carries some risk of injury. By registering, you acknowledge that:
- Your child is physically able to participate in basketball activities
- You understand the risks involved in sports, including sprains, fractures, concussions, and other injuries
- You agree that FBC Athletics, its coaches, staff, and volunteers are not responsible for injuries that occur during normal program activities
You are responsible for ensuring your child has appropriate health insurance coverage. If you share medical information during registration, we will use it to help coaches understand your child’s needs and respond appropriately in an emergency.
7. Waivers and Release of Liability
By registering, you agree to release and hold harmless FBC Athletics, its coaches, staff, volunteers, partners, and facilities from any claims, lawsuits, or damages related to your child’s participation in programs, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional harm.
You also give permission for FBC Athletics to seek emergency medical treatment for your child if you cannot be reached.
